FOREWORD

The 2008 Inservice Guide is designed to coordinate and present the various Leadership and Professional Development opportunities available to staff members of schools and CEO Offices in the Archdiocese of Sydney.

A well coordinated approach to Professional Development allows Principals and staff to plan effective programs within the broad context of the Archdiocesan Vision and Mission Statements and the Seven Key Areas set out in Sydney Catholic Schools Towards 2010 Strategic Leadership and Management Plan.

This year the Guide is available on the CEO website. It has been rebuilt on a new platform which enables on-line registration for the first time - a significant advancement in efficiency.

I commend the 2008 Inservice Guide to Principals, teachers and support staff in schools and to staff in CEO Offices. I trust that the improved format will help make the information more accessible to all and will be a major strategy to facilitate personal and professional growth among staff of the system of schools.
