Catholic Schools Week celebrations were in full swing at St Ambrose's Primary, Concord West last week.

Parents and their infant students came together on Wednesday to launch "Learning in Action" day in a school liturgy followed by open classroom activities.

Local Federal MP John Murphy, Br Kelvin Canavan, Executive Director of Schools, and members of the school and parish community joined the celebrations.

Year 1 students  Daniel , Timothy and Liana  spent the morning demonstrating learning in action to Mr Murphy, while parents visited open classrooms and the student Art display at St Ambrose's.

Principal Cathy Young said she had over 200 parents visit the school, and 30 application forms were handed out during Catholic Schools Week.
