A record number of Sydney's Catholic primary school students know their Catholic faith, prayers, Scripture and Sacraments better than ever before.
The results released this week for the 2007 Year 6 Religion Education (RE) Test for 4,921 students in the Archdiocese of Sydney are at an all-time high.
This year's average score was 79.5 per cent - the highest score since the RE Test was introduced in 1998 to test students' religious knowledge.
According to Br Kelvin Canavan, Executive Director of Schools, this is the sixth consecutive year for Sydney's Catholic primary school students to turn in impressive gains in the annual RE Test.
