Services Available to Schools and Communities

The Human Resources Team provides leadership in a range of Human Resources functions to support and enhance the quality of the leadership, evangelisation and educational processes operating in schools. The Team leads the planning, development, maintenance and evaluation of a range of employment functions, policies, processes and services in the areas listed below:

• Selection, orientation, induction, performance review and reappointment of Principals, Assistant Principals, Religious Education Co-ordinators and Co-ordinators.
• Guidelines for recruitment, appointment and performance review.
• Personnel Performance Planning and Review (PPPR).
• Co-ordination of Archdiocesan meetings of Principals and Assistant Principals.
• School Review and Improvement Framework (SRI).
• NSW Board of Studies registration/accreditation and accreditation of teachers: NSW Institute of Teachers.
• Employment Relations: child protection; investigations management; redeployment; preliminary legal advice; 'Handbook for Systemic Schools'; equal opportunity for women in the workplace; Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S); Workers Compensation and return-to-work co-ordination; Awards; Enterprise Agreements; 'Teachers' Newsletter.
• Personal and Professional Development: 'Inservice Guide'; leadership induction and development; 'Leaders for the Future'; Executive Director's Awards; school support staff; liaison with tertiary institutions.
• Teacher education incentives.
