Graduate Study
Teachers who are permanently employed by the Catholic Education Office, and have no formal Religious Education qualifications or wish to upgrade Religious Education qualifications, may seek financial reimbursement for the cost of study. This reimbursement is for the cost of tuition fees.
When choosing courses of study, teachers should include units in :
Biblical Studies, Theology - including Christology, Church, Sacramental and Moral Theology, Liturgy and Religious Education.
Possession of these qualifications confers eligibility to teach Religious Education, but does not automatically entitle people to a teaching position.
