Borrowing Policy

The Centre's function is to provide education and information services which support quality teaching and learning within the Archdiocese of Sydney.

The Centre has three main collections and all three differ in their clientele, collection focus and borrowing conditions.

  • Religious Audio Visual Collection:
This collection supports schools within the Archdiocese of Sydney and focuses on classroom resources suitable for the Primary and Secondary Religious Education Curriculum.
The school becomes the member with a contact person, usually the Religious Education Co-ordinator or Librarian, acting as agent.
These resources are loaned for two weeks.

  • Special Purpose Programs
This collection contains support materials for students and teachers involved in the Special Purpose Programs.

  • General Collection:
The fundamental function of this collection is to support staff of the Catholic Education Office.  Teachers within the Sydney Catholic Education system and students of the Certificate of Religious Education are welcome to visit and utliise the library on a limited basis.

Client Confidentiality
The Library maintains limited personal data - this information as well as materials consulted or borrowed by clients remains confidential.
